🍷🇮🇹 Ausonia Apollo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo really impressed me and shows how underrated the grape/region is. This wine is a very serious contender to the big long lasting wines, made with 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes clay/limestone soil , it is robust, deep ruby color, full body, with aromas of dark plum, forest fruits, spices, licorice and a touch of balsamic notes, balanced, firm ripe tannins, really big concentration of fruit with a long finish ! Pairs well with steaks, roast lamb or wild meats ! 🥩
